Amaya Aims to Strike a Deal for Bwin.PartyAmaya Inc. is the Montreal-based gaming company behind the wildly successful PokerStars. In a recent announcement Amaya Inc. shared that they are partnering with GVC Holdings PLC with the intent to purchase Bwin.Party Digital Entertainment PLC. Bwin.Party is the company that operates Partypoker.

As highlighted by Global News, Bwin.Party announced in November 2014 that they are looking to sell, which is attracting the attention of online gambling powerhouses from around the globe. Shortly after Amaya announced their bid for Bwin.Party, 888 Holdings PLC also submitted a rival bid.

Amaya did not share any details regarding their offer, and is not expected to do so until there is a legal agreement in place—that is if one comes to fruition.

Amaya acquired PokerStars just last year, so if their bid is successful this major player will be a larger force to be reckoned with.
