Big Money Follows Social Casinos PhenomenonThe social casino industry in the United States alone will top $2.7 billion in revenue this year.

That’s the estimate put forward this week by Eilers Research gaming analyst Adam Krejcik. Howard Stutz of the Las Vegas Review Journal cites a number of key developments and partnerships in the social gaming arena which give credence to these latest projections.

Station Casinos, for example, recently partnered with the myVegas social gaming platform.

“The casino operator views social gaming as a way to keep its current customers engaged when away from the company’s 17 Las Vegas-area casinos while introducing the brand to a new audience,” Stutz writes.

The same report indicates that the myVegas site has flourished as the social gaming arm for MGM Resorts International since 2012 and now enjoys 1 million daily active users.

As the partnerships pick up and player dedication flourishes within the social casino market, revenues will likely gain steam throughout 2015 with no perceptible end in sight.
