Mobile Gambling Tech a Quiet Presence at CES 2014Despite taking place in the U.S. capital for gambling, there’s been hardly a mention of online and mobile gambling at the 2014 Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas this week.

But while tech hardware and software makers may be reluctant to full embrace online gambling until its legally permissible outside of the states of Nevada, Delaware, and New Jersey, this young industry has a long way to go before its lucrative potential can fully be realized for many interested parties.

While smartglasses, smartwatches, 3D printers, and the usual mix of cutting edge television and living room technology steal the show this year, mobile tech as it pertains to online and mobile gambling is largely out of sight. But it’s not completely out of mind.

In fact, some of the industry’s most respected voices have bold expectations for the growth of mobile tech in gambling this year.

As mGamingWatch reported this week, Calvin Ayre went on record recently to boldly predict that “after years of gathering momentum, mobile will officially become an all-star in 2014.”

It’s just not apparent yet at CES 2014 in Las Vegas.
