Offshore Gambling Still a Concern in OntarioLegalizing and regulating online gambling is a revenue source that many countries can’t ignore. Of course, even if regulated online gambling is not available, gamblers will still seek out offshore sites where they can gamble.

One of the largest concerns with offshore sites is that they can essentially make up their own rules — rules that are not always in the best interest of consumers. Not only that, when an offshore site takes advantage of an online gambler, it is unlikely that they will be reported because the online gambler may not want to admit to gambling offshore.

To create a secure gambling environment, the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation has regulated an array of safe online gambling selections—but is still figuring out what to do with offshore sites.

While Quebec is looking for ways to regulate offshore iGaming, Sun News reports that Ontario is not sure which approach they will take.
