An Online Gambling Projection That Should Get Mobile Marketers ExcitedWith mobile marketing spend representing an increasingly larger share of all marketing dollars spent within most industries, the latest projections with regard to the online gambling market in the U.S. should be viewed very favorably.

Morgan Stanley is out with a new projection noting that the online gambling market might soar to $5.2 billion by the end of the decade.

That could represent a huge opportunity for casinos and gaming platforms to utilize the mobile channel to market to players where they will soon do more of their wagering — on smartphones and tablets.

“Theoretically, if all 50 states could launch online gaming, the market could be twice as large — at $10.7 billion,” a report summary from Business Insider reads. “However, Morgan Stanley’s Thomas Allen notes that this event is ‘unlikely given [the] limited chances of Federal approval and [the] fact that there are only 39 states with Commercial or Tribal casinos today.'”
