Ontario’s Long Awaited Internet Gaming Site Set to LaunchOntario Lottery and Gaming Corp. (OLG) made their initial plans to launch an online gambling site in 2012, but perfecting the project has taken longer than expected.

The good news is that all of OLG’s 53,000 loyal customers will be able to begin gambling online… soon.

The online gambling site offers everything from online lottery tickets, single player online poker, video slots, blackjack, roulette, and baccarat, reports the Toronto Sun. The next phase of upgrades will include multi-player online gambling, but when that will occur is yet to be determined.

To encourage responsible gambling, gamblers are able to set gambling limits that they are not able to adjust prior to a 7 day cooling period after maxing out their weekly gambling limit.

Payments are made through credit card deposits, and all online gamblers will be required to register and verify both their identity and age.

“What we’re offering is a controlled, trust-worthy alternative to these grey market sites,” OLG spokesman Tony Bitoni is quoted in the report. “When we did our market research, trust was one of the big things that people told us about, that they really wanted in these sites.”
