Pala Teams Up with JOINGO in Launch of San Diego Casino AppThe Mission Indians are moving to “corner the casino” with a new mobile app.

According to Gaming Intelligence, the Pala Band of Mission Indians has teamed up with mobile technology firm JOINGO to launch a dedicated mobile app for the San Diego-based Pala Casino Spa & Resort.

“Featuring loyalty account integration, interactive property details, and a slot machine finder, the Android and iOS app is integrated with the operator’s existing Casino Management System,” notes Gaming Intelligence. “This allows players to access the casino’s Privileges Club, providing real-time account balances, tier-point summaries, and other account information.”

JOINGO’s “Places” solution is part of the package. It’s a location-based marketing and analytics tool that takes advantage of geofencing technology to promote special offers to targeted customer devices.

The app boasts a “slot finder” that helps players locate on-premises slot machines by name, denomination, or game type.

“We are pleased to partner with Pala Casino Spa & Resort, which represents our first agreement with a tribal casino in Southern California,” JOINGO president Seamus McGill commented. “We are confident that our award-winning technology will help Pala achieve their marketing objectives of increasing guest visitation and reducing direct mail costs.”

Brian Turk, who serves as Pala’s chief information officer, said that the JOINGO techology has made it simple to integrate a sophisticated mobile option into the casino’s current marketing operations.

“By partnering with JOINGO, we’ve quickly launched a mobile app with state-of-the-art custom features,” Turk said. “Using JOINGO’s mobile platform, we will engage with our players in ways that have never been possible before.”
