Casino Marketers Say Gambling is Not the Only Reason to Head to Atlantic CityIt is no secret that Atlantic City has been struggling in recent years, which is one of the reasons that casinos and resorts are starting to think outside of the box. Since gambling is not a large enough draw to Atlantic City, many casinos and local businesses are finding ways to make the destination more appealing for vacationers of all interests.

Tropicana was one of the first casinos to make a major investment in non-gambling attractions by shelling out $52 million dollars on their music venue The Playground, MyFoxNY reports citing data from the AP. Caesars also opened the Waterfront Conference Center, a $126 million project designed to attract more conferences and conventions to Atlantic City.
