Illustrating the rapid rate of acquisitions across the European online gambling landscape, this week the team at XLMedia — a provider of digital performance marketing services — confirmed its plans to acquire a leading UK Sports betting website.
Curiously, however, the name of the platform being acquired was not revealed.
Nonetheless, we’re told the website being acquired is “focused on UK web and mobile traffic,” specializing in sports betting, a statement provided to mGamingWatch reads. As part of the transaction, the company will also purchase a second website providing casino-related content.
“Since our IPO in March this year, we have continued to extend our network with complementary additions,” said XLMedia CEO Ory Weihs. “With our current network focused on casino products, we see good opportunities in the market to buy additional assets in the sports betting arena. In addition, the UK market is a mature, established market where we see growth opportunities going forward.”
The value of the acquisition is said to be near $7 million.
