Zynga's Online Gambling Chief Takes a WalkOn Monday, the online gaming and gambling worlds learned that a major brand in the space has lost one of its most promising young executives.

In 2012, Zynga brought aboard Maytal Ginzburg Olsha to serve as the company’s chief operating officer (particularly with regard to new markets like online gambling).

As it turns out, Olsha left the company this week without much fanfare.

The former 888.com executive left Zynga to take a new position at what we’re simply told is a “start-up.”

In response to the recent news that Zynga is not accelerating its online gambling efforts, the departure of Olsha isn’t a shock as the outgoing exec likely wants to put her vast experience in online gambling to use at a company that has plans to remain vested in the online gambling world.
