Gambling at New Jersey’s Borgata Online Casino Making Positive StridesOnline gambling results have been a disappointment thus far in New Jersey, but Borgata’s online casino is making some positive strides.

For the third straight quarter, their online casino is showing a profit—not just an increase in sales, but a true profit. During the first quarter of 2015, the profit in question was an impressive $1 million dollars.

Part of the reason they are seeing a profit, according to Online Casino Reports is because significantly less is being spent on marketing their new online addition, not nearly as much as was spent during their first year online. On top of that, startup costs and first-time expenditures are no longer negatively impacting profits.

While Borgata’s online site has turned a profit for three straight quarters, they now have some new competition. The well-recognized PokerStars may soon receive licensing through Resorts AC Morris Bailey—meaning that all New Jersey casinos may see some of their online gamblers head over to PokerStars, or begin spreading their time out between online casinos.
