Harrah’s Combining On Site and Online Gambling AimsHarrah’s is taking another innovative step forward in the gaming world these days, fostering collaboration with online gambling and land based gambling at their New Jersey Casino.

“The online and offline collaboration allows consumers to participate in a digital Treasure Hunt with weekly challenges for a chance to win more than $40,000 in cash and prizes,” a representative for Harrah’s explains to CourierPostOnline. “Players completing all weekly challenges this month will receive a spot in an Oct. 18 live treasure hunt event at Harrah’s Resort in Atlantic City.”

So with online treasure hunts in New Jersey casinos becoming the norm, is sports gambling also still in the works? Not just yet.

Harrah’s and Caesars casinos — both owned by Caesars – are taking a wait and see approach, with no concrete plans to move forward with online sports betting today.

“We have absolutely no plans to implement sports betting in the near future,” says Jennifer Ericsson, Caesars Interactive Entertainment director of promotions.
