Apple’s inaugural smartwatch hasn’t even been released to the public yet, but already some are wondering what — if any — industries may wish to limit the use of such devices in their facilities.

Well, it was — after all — a gamble. But now the data is in. Atlantic City casinos and their online partners took in about $120 million in revenue during its initial season of internet gambling.

According to the Las-Vegas Review-Journal, Sen. Harry Reid said that Congress next year will take up legislation to outlaw Internet gambling, and he plans to support a ban while trying to gain an exemption for online poker. “I think there will be efforts made to get rid of the Wire Act,” Reid is quoted in the report.

This news just in: The proposed online poker legislation (AB9) introduced by California Assemblyman Mike Gatto is drawing fire from the Poker Players Alliance (PPA), a tribal coalition, and PokerStars.
