According to the latest industry estimates, the mobile gaming market is set to grow at a rate of 19% per year through 2016. The huge growth of the mobile gambling market in 2012 and 2013 is expected to continue over the new few years, with more companies such as W3i investing in native iOS and Android operating systems.

This week, the team at Gamble.co.uk, the UK’s leading independent gambling information website, confirmed the launch of its new Casino Finder app. The free mobile app is available for Apple’s iPhone as well as Android devices.

VentureBeat reports that San Francisco-based Locaid has technology for smartphone users that allows it to verify their geographical location for those looking to gamble online in states where it is legal.  Locaid says that the locations are “spoof proof.”

Just as companies in any industry must be vigilant to protect their online customers in the digital age, real-money gaming businesses in particular must go above and beyond the call of duty to fend off cyber-criminals.
