Las Vegas Casinos, Resorts Marketing Their Veteran's Day SaluteA number of Las Vegas casinos and resorts are beginning at this hour to commence celebrations in honor of U.S. troops in light of Monday’s observance of Veteran’s Day.

80 wounded warriors and their families arrive for a Walk of Gratitude at the Mirage followed by four days of fun, entertainment and activities in their honor.

According to the Las Vegas Review Journal, the event is sponsored by MGM Resorts International with American Airlines and the USO.
All told, it’s just one of several similar events happening this weekend to honor veterans by various businesses and organizations.

Many current or former members of the armed forces are being treated to free dining, free access to Red Rock Canyon, and even free legal advice on benefits.

“We know the sacrifices these men and women make every day and are grateful for their service,” said MGM Chairman and CEO Jim Murren.
