Social Media has become an everyday fixture in the lives of most people. At times, it can seem like it may be easier to communicate a mass message to family and friends on Facebook or to acquaintances on Twitter. The ability to communicate to a large group is also a great reason for businesses to invest time in the free platforms.
In a Forbes article last year, contributor Jessica Bosari noted that Social Media “has become a must” for businesses looking for relevance “in both the traditional and digital marketplace.”
Recently, as reported by Chris Sieroty for GamingMeets.com, Angel Suarez, vice president, group account director for the Red Circle Agency, noted the importance of both social media and websites for casinos. Suarez is quoted as saying, “digital is the future of advertising.”
Suarez thinks there should be an interaction with the customers via social media. “The problem is casinos are not engaging in a conversation but just telling people what’s going on,” Suarez is reported as saying. However, Suarez also thinks it’s important for casinos to maintain a website as well. He said that websites “are the most important digital platform” for casinos and that “you also need to make sure your website is relevant to whatever a customer is searching for.”
Suarez also feels that email and text can also be effective in marketing the casino. Suarez gave an hour long presentation at the Casino Marketing Conference, reports Sieroty.
