With marketing budgets facing pressure across the gaming landscape, some industry analysts are concerned that social casinos – at least some of the lot – could be crippled irreparably as a result.

In a recent announcement, the Hard Rock Hotel said it is partnering with traditional taverns in the city of Las Vegas to share loyalty points in their rewards program. So far they have partnered with 43 Golden Gaming’s PT’s and Sierra Gold taverns. In Las Vegas taverns, they are allowed to have up to 15 slot machines per location where loyalty points can be earned.

The state of New Jersey, as we all know, formally launched its legal and regulated online gambling market in November 2013. With online gambling given a green light, all casinos are required to obtain required licenses from the New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement (DGE) as well as secure a partnership with a brick and motor Atlantic City casino.

The Mississippi Gaming and Hospitality Association is hosting the Southern Gaming Summit at the Mississippi Coast Coliseum and Convention Center in Biloxi May 6-8th. The summit has attracted the attention of industry leaders within the gaming and casino industry from around the nation.

Atari, the venerable brand in video gaming that became a household name in the 1980s, continues to cozy up to the thriving young industry of real money online and mobile gambling. Just this week, Atari partnered with Pariplay, a leading publisher and producer of interactive entertainment.
