Mobile Casinos Coming to ColoradoAccording to The Denver Post, the State of Colorado may be the next to welcome online and mobile gambling, joining Nevada, New Jersey, and Delaware on the short list of states to do so.

“Quietly,” the report reads, “Colorado lawmakers and industry officials drafted legislation late last session to authorize Internet poker.”

Although little progress was made in recent months, some are expecting a big push next year.

“This is something we are monitoring very closely,” Troy Stremming, executive vice president of government relations for Pinnacle Entertainment, tells the DP.

“Internet gaming continues to evolve state-by-state, and through ever-changing technology,” he adds. “With respect to Colorado, when there is a piece of legislation to review, we can make decisions based on whether or not participation will be beneficial to the company.”

We’re told that state officials and legislators may be most interested in mobile casinos and smartphone-based platforms that would allow for real-money poker and potentially other traditional casino games.
