Mobile Gaming Apps Continue to Grow in PopularityWhether they are for real money, simply social, for digital rewards, or just plain amusement, mobile gaming apps are surging in popularity.

In just the recent few years, digital and mobile game developers that most consumer may have never heard of have arrived in the industry out of nowhere and earned millions in the tablet, mobile device & smartphone wave.

That’s the statement put out today by Tapinator, which just announced the filing of its amended Annual Report for the period ended December 31, 2014.

According to the firm’s published report, revenues and interest in mobile gaming apps are all on the upswing.

“Playing games on the TV or PC will not disappear,” Vincent van Deelen, market analyst at Newzoo, recently told Forbes. “They are different screens, each with their own right of existence. What we see happening now is that money spent on games is gradually being spent more equally across all four screens. Ultimately this could be 25% for TV, 25% for PC, 25% for tablets and handhelds, and 25% for phones. In the U.S., the percentages are 44%, 26%, 15%, and 15% respectively. On a global scale, the split is closer to the theoretical situation: 28%, 39%, 13%, and 20%. Time spent on games has already shown a close-to-equal split across screens for years.”
