Penn National Gaming, Inc. recently confirmed to MGW that it has acquired Rocket Games, Inc., a well-known developer of social casino games.
The deal is said to be worth approximately $60 million cash.
If you’re not familiar, Rocket’s library of over 50 social casino games feature hits such as Viva Slots Las Vegas, Downtown Deluxe Slots, Triple Double Slots and Vegas Jackpot Casino, along with an array of popular licensed titles.
“Penn National’s accretive acquisition of Rocket highlights our ongoing strategic initiative to acquire emerging growth platforms that complement, and allow us to leverage, our core regional gaming operations and database of over three million active customers,” says Penn National Gaming President and CEO Timothy J. Wilmott.
