William Hill is a hugely successful bookmaker operating a customer service center in Manila. Although no gambling activities are conducted out of their Manila service center, the Philippines National Bureau of Investigation has launched an investigation in relation to alleged gaming activities potentially related to William Hill in the Philippines.
William Hill publicly stated that they comply with all local laws and global practices, and that there are no unlawful activities occurring in their Manila customer service center.
While the investigation is underway, William Hill will be providing their customer service through other facilities. The company does not feel that the investigation will affect them adversely in any way.
“At this stage we are comfortable with our expectations for 2014 and will update the market as necessary,” the company said in a statement provided to the U.K. Telegraph.
