PokerStars Heading Home for TourPokerStars has announced a first for its instantly-legendary United Kingdom Ireland Poker Tour (UKIPT).

The tour is coming to the corporate home of the world’s largest online poker site. PokerStars is headed for the Isle of Man and will hunker down there from October 30 through November 4.

“PokerStars is very proud to bring a large-scale poker festival to our corporate hometown to allow poker players to learn about PokerStars and our home,” says Kirsty Thompson, President of the UKIPT. “Being able to play, chat and compete with PokerStars employees at the tables will be an extra benefit as they visit the home of PokerStars.”

One unique feature for the UKIPT visit to the Isle of Man is that PokerStars employees will be allowed to enter all of the tournaments, including the main event. However, they will need to pay the same buy-in as every other entrant.

“Poker is the original social game and players tell us they love to meet PokerStars employees at the tables, so we will be welcoming players on our home turf,” Eric Hollreiser, head of corporate communications for PokerStars, was quoted by IOMToday.
