Reinventing Poker to Combat The Decline In Online PokerWhen a handful of U.S. states legalized online gambling in 2013, online poker was the leader of the pack when it came to overall revenue. While online poker is still the game of choice for many online gamblers, it has seen a rapid decline throughout the first seven full months of 2014.

In a recent article posted in Online-Casino, the direction online casinos are taking to combat this decline was discussed. In today’s electronically savvy world, the ability to game both for fun and for real-money gambling is easier than ever. Every traditional game now has an electronic version, with a multitude of variations tossed into the mix. It is for this reason that gaming developers are exploring ways to make online poker more… fun.

To regain some of their lost poker customers, music, graphics, and innovative new versions of standard poker favorites are being invented. This includes fast draw variations, and 2-7 Triple draw.

One of the largest challenges to offering variations, however, is making them easy enough for the novice player yet challenging enough for the experienced.

So, will the reinvention efforts for online poker taking place today ultimately pay off? Or does the future of online poker rely on little more than additional states legalizing the practice? Please weigh in with your two cents below.
