Rivers Casino Goes MobileWith so much talk of regulated online gambling potentially coming to the state of Pennsylvania in the near future, it comes as no surprise that some casinos in the state are preparing for what many analysts believe is an inevitability for the Keystone State.

Of course, as an experienced mobile marketing or digital advertising pro will tell you, gaming operators and casinos have much to gain by going mobile in other capacities even if real money mobile gambling isn’t yet a business option.

It’s a strategy understood well by the team at Rivers Casino, which recently teamed up in Pennsylvania with JOINGO, a mobile technology company.

Together, the companies have announced the launch of a new customer app for iPhone and Android devices.

The Rivers Casino app, created using JOINGO’s Mobile Loyalty Platform, includes the Places geo-fencing feature and real-time integration with Rivers’ Konami Casino Management System, providing Rush Rewards members instant in-app access to account balances and offers.

“Using JOINGO Places,” a provided statement reads, “Rivers Casino can target the delivery of special mobile offers and alerts to their patrons who are located within customizable regions known as geo-fences. In addition, patrons can get directions, make restaurant reservations, and learn about daily specials and promotions, all right from their mobile devices.”

Impressively, we’re told that the app will soon allow patrons to “self-comp.” To boot, “Rush Rewards” members will be able to redeem their loyalty points for promotional items and other perks directly from their mobile device.
