Wisconsin Lottery Extends Their Contract With IGT By Another 7 YearsLanding a contract with a statewide lottery is always a significant accomplishment, just as is maintaining that contract.

In a recent announcement International Game Technology (IGT) confirmed such an accomplishment by revealing that their GTECH subsidiary was offered a seven year extension to their contract with the Wisconsin lottery.

iGamingBusiness explains that GTECH is responsible for creating a new draw-based and instant ticket lottery system, as well as self-service multimedia products, full-service lottery terminals, and new and improved communication networks. They will also be responsible for warehousing and distribution.

We’re told that all current Lottery terminals will be replaced with the Altura GT1200 sales platform, and the new products in the pipeline will bring the Wisconsin Lottery into the 21st century.

“The Wisconsin Lottery has achieved five consecutive years of increased sales and has made tremendous contributions to property tax relief in Wisconsin,” says Michael Chambrello, chief executive of North America Lottery at IGT. “We believe that this contract demonstrates our commitment to the Wisconsin Lottery and the citizens they serve.”
