Zynga has just unveiled its newest real-money gambling apps.
Zynga says that its freshly announced offerings represent a logical extension of it’s exisiting lineup for those who want an opportunity to win real money. Initially, the games will be available exclusively in the United Kingdom, where online gambling is legal.
The first wave of games to be released include ZyngaPlusPoker and ZyngaPlusCasino, both of which are derived from Zynga’s popular social games.
Produced in part with Bwin, Zynga makes a clear distinction between its existing social media applications and those that offer real-money gambling. While they share the same programming components and backbone, the games have different color schemes and user interfaces. If users opt to gamble for real money, they will be sent to an application for verification of their eligibility for participation, including age and residency requirements.
Also required of potential players is a security deposit to ensure they can pay for their chips.
To sweeten the pot further, players can win promotional prizes such as a free meal or overnight getaway.
There is no firm release date for these titles as of this writing, but Zynga will release both Facebook and mobile versions of them in the future.
