Players asked for it, and now the Pennsylvania Lottery’s official mobile app can scan both instant and draw game tickets to check for winners.
That’s the big news in the lottery world out of Pennsylvania today.
“When we introduced a ticket checker for instant games in March, players immediately asked us to expand it to check draw game tickets,” said Lottery Executive Director Drew Svitko. “Our mobile app adds excitement and fun for Pennsylvania Lottery players who are on-the-go.”
According to a media release, the ticket checker feature is simple and convenient to use.
On an instant ticket, players should reveal the “Scratch to Cash” barcode. Then, open the ticket checker on the mobile app and point the camera at the barcode. The app will indicate whether the ticket has won a prize.
The Pennsylvania Lottery’s official mobile app is available for free through Google Play and the Apple App Store.
