Warning labels are profuse across the human existence, but now they come attached to an entirely new practice – online gambling.

According to news reports out of Europe, the European Commission wants countries to compel those behind online gambling ads to present a clear and unmistakable warning label analogous to those found on alcohol and cigarette packages.

“The EU executive will make its recommendation to improve controls of the 10.5 billion-euro ($14.3 billion) online gambling industry next week,” Reuters explains, “focusing on advertisements to tackle compulsive gambling.”

Rooted in common sense, the warnings will explicitly speak to the possibility of losing money and becoming addicted to the process of waging real money.

Additionally, EU wants to ban all online gambling companies from sponsoring events that are designed for minors.
