Donald Trump is a very happy man today.
Mr. Trump’s two casinos in Atlantic City have officially received their Internet gambling permits.
Representatives for Trump were notified today regarding the formal authorization.
As of this writing, Trump Plaza and the Trump Taj Mahal are joined only by Borgata and the Golden Nugget as casinos approved to begin Internet gambling next month.
Online gambling will officially begin November 26th in the Garden State. This follows a requisite five-day, invitation-only trial period, which begins November 21st.
Along with Nevada and Delaware, New Jersey is only the third state in the nation to offer online gambling.
Lisa Spengler, a spokeswoman for the New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement, tells Press of Atlantic City that there is no competitive advantage to being issued a permit early as “the launch date is the same for all casinos.”
More permits are expected to be granted in the coming weeks.
