U.S. Online Poker Players Finally Get Their Cash BackOnline poker players in the U.S. who once regularly played on the Full Title Poker platform received some good news in recent days.

They’re finally getting their money back.

According to CNN, approximately $76 million is being returned to approximately 27,000 U.S. customers who had their accounts frozen amidst a lingering criminal case.

Most players saw their accounts frozen for 2 years, 10 months, and 13 days.

Prosecutors accused Full Tilt and two other sites — PokerStars and Absolute Poker — of circumventing federal laws against Internet gambling by deceiving banks and credit card issuers into processing payments for U.S. players.

Eighteen months ago, the U.S. Justice Department announced a $731 million settlement with PokerStars and Full Tilt to bring closure to all longstanding allegations.

Just last year, former Full Tilt CEO Raymond Bitar pleaded guilty “to multiple gambling and fraud charges.” Had he not been released due to “significant health problems,” Bitar would have likely faced a lengthy prison sentence.
