Chinese Mobile Social Gaming Company is Going GlobalPublished reports overnight reveal that a fast-growing Chinese mobile social gaming company called FunPlus has designs on the global mobile gambling market.

Having raised an impressive $74 million for its global mobile gaming enterprise, it’s well positioned to branch out.

Sources at FunPlus say the infusion of capital will allow the company to pioneer new games with appeal to an international audience.

The effort planned looks to “combine the know-how of the Chinese company and the creativity of Western game developers.”

Iva Pope of BJC reports that the company has approximately six million daily users today.

“This [funding] round is going to take us to the next level. We want to be a developer-operator with a truly global reach,” says Dan Fiden, chief strategy officer of FunPlus. “We want to be a China-based company that is successful outside of China.”

With regard to the burgeoning mobile casino gambling industry, Fiden is just as optimistic.

“The game industry is going through an incredible transformation, and we want to be ready for it,” he’s quoted by Poe. “When it comes to game services, I don’t think we’ve even scratched the surface on what is possible.”
