Merge Unexpectedly Cashes Out of New Jersey and DelawareAccording to published reports from across the East Coast this week, Merge Gaming has effectively cashed out in two of the only three states where online gambling is legal in the United States.

So what is behind the company’s unanticipated exodus from New Jersey and Delaware? As of this writing, Merge is yet to make a formal announcement regarding the suspension of gaming activity for players in these states.

Poker players in these markets were the first to know something was wrong when they began receiving notifications that “security reasons” are behind their sudden and unexpected account suspensions.

PokerFuse reports that gamers who have reached out to Merge in hopes of gaining insight into this development have been provided with the following response via email: “Regrettably, we no longer offer online gaming services to members in Delaware [New Jersey]… This decision was made after much consideration.”

mGamingWatch will provide further updates as more information becomes available.
