First it conquered Europe, and now Gibraltar-based 888 Holdings may dominate online gaming in the U.S. even before lawmakers pull the trigger on legalizing coast-to-coast real-money digital gambling.
Howard Stutz of the Las Vegas Review Journal says 888 has is “quietly” carving out an extra-large share of the young U.S. online gaming market.
And he’s exactly right. To date, the aggressive but poised firm is already entrenched in the online gambling activities of Nevada, New Jersey and Delaware, the only three states where online gambling is presently legal.
888 Holdings is here and ready for the day when 47 more states enter the fold.
“We’re building a U.S.-based poker network,” 888 Chief Operating Officer Itai Frieberger says. “The U.S. could become a very lucrative market.”
And the company is determined to lay the groundwork now for the domestic online gaming empire it hopes to build tomorrow.
