888poker Taking SNAP for a Spin

888poker.com has just launched its own fast-fold poker game called SNAP.

Following what the online poker giant calls “extensive BETA testing,” SNAP is now open to the site’s users (where they are geographically authorized by law to do so, that is).

“The SNAP fast-fold game is an exciting addition to our poker offering,” says Hila Klein, Senior Vice President of Product Technologies for 888holdings. “We took the extra steps to make sure it offered a balanced game play experience while allowing players to instantly SNAP to a new hand and new table. Our goal is to continually deliver customer satisfaction and increased poker network liquidity and SNAP is a great addition to the product.”

SNAP tables offers a SNAP fold button that can be pushed when a player is not in the big blind position and no raise in action on the table. Once the SNAP button is pushed the player’s opponents change to new opponents with a new hand being dealt within 3 seconds.

Unlike other fast variant games in the market, the company says, SNAP offers a position balancing mechanism (as opposed to random reseating), while maintaining high pace of hand per hour.

In addition to the position balancing, players also can utilize a fold watch and play option which gives the option to monitor to rest of folded hand while playing the next hand.

Currently the feature is available on the PC download version and will be released on other formats including mobile very soon.
