The Benefits of Online Casinos Becoming More ApparentAlthough many states still shy away from live casinos, some are now at least open to discussing the possibilities of online casinos within their borders.

The reasons online casinos are more likely to be “accepted” are numerous. While live gambling has the potential to generate large amounts of revenue for the states they reside in (both in gambling revenue and in tourism), they often come with an increase of other concerns that impact the culture of a city, such as a rise in crime.

Naturally, there are undoubtedly concerns that accompany any form of gambling, such as addiction, but when speaking of online gambling, the concerns for cultural changes and a rise in crime are far less likely.

Internet gaming, as a consequence, is rapidly becoming more appealing to many states. As of 2014, only three states have passed legislation to legalize a variety of online games and casinos. Many other states, however, are weighing the pros and cons of online gaming and California is expected to be the next to join the regulated online gambling industry.

Currently 10 other states are considering legalizing online gambling similar to what already exists in Nevada, New Jersey, and Delaware.
