AGA Remembers Las Vegas casino Icon, Marketing GeniusGaming industry icon Burton Cohen, who at one time managed some of the Las Vegas Strip’s most famous resorts, recently passed away at his home in Las Vegas.

Cohen’s career touched such iconic institutions such as the Desert Inn, Flamingo, Caesars Palace, Thunderbird, and Dunes.

The gaming industry veteran and marketing genius was inducted into the Gaming Hall of Fame in 1995.

Cohen, who passed away at the age of 90, was still a member of the MGM Resorts International board of directors.

“Burton Cohen was a giant in our industry who made countless contributions to the growth and success of gaming,” reads a statement from the American Gaming Association. “The AGA was proud to recognize Burton when we inducted him into the Gaming Hall of Fame nearly 20 years ago, yet Las Vegas and the entire gaming industry remain indebted to him for his decades of leadership. The industry’s thoughts are with Burton’s family as they mourn his passing.”
