Global Gaming Women Launches Online Mentoring Program at G2ELast night at G2E in Las Vegas, Global Gaming Women (GGW) announced the official launch of Global Gaming Network (GGN)— a “first-of-its-kind online mentoring network” designed to connect women professionals in the international gaming industry.

GGW itself launched at G2E two years ago following its creation by the American Gaming Association (AGA) to nurture female leaders in the international gaming industry.

The site can be accessed at GlobalGamingNetwork.org and was developed in conjunction with SHFL entertainment, Inc., a leading manufacturer in the gaming industry.

“On behalf of the GGW board, we are extremely excited to announce the launch of Global Gaming Network,” says Patti Hart, GGW co-chair and CEO of International Game Technology. “Now all women in our industry—regardless of where in the world they live or work—can enhance their careers through an innovative use of technology that will connect them to other professionals.”
GGN allows women from all levels of the gaming entertainment industry to identify and connect with potential mentors to share their advice, experience and best practices.

“My career was certainly invigorated with the help of strong mentorships, so I’m very happy to see that this important resource can now help many other women in gaming do the same,” says Virginia McDowell, president and CEO of Isle of Capri Casinos, Inc. and GGW co-chair. “I want to thank Katie Lever and her team at SHFL entertainment for helping make this site possible. In an industry as global and geographically diverse as ours, this resource opens doors to relationships that would otherwise be unavailable.”
