VIDEO GAMBLINGAccording to published reports surfacing this week inside of the European Union, hundreds of online gambling operators are having their access to parts of the EU marketplace effectively cut off.

Due to non-compliance with the European Commission’s recommendations, just over 400 sites are being blocked from the Greek market.

According to Online-Casinos.com:

Greece recently announced it would be keeping its monopoly running and will now deter other internet wagering operators from offering their products to Greek patrons. The history of the Greek gambling situation has been a long and protracted one with other members of the Union calling foul when it comes to the rules about free electronic commerce among nations.

We’re told that Greek internet service providers were provided with a comprehensive list of sites that were deemed illegal gambling web locations.

Additionally, the Bank of Greece has also been sent the list of financial transactions involving the banned sites.
