On Thursday, MGW learned that Aruze Gaming America is losing Kelcey Allison as CEO.

Allison’s resignation became public knowledge this morning.

The departing chief executive was appointed CEO of Aruze in January of 2015.

“Richard Pennington will temporarily assume the administrative responsibilities previously performed by Mr. Allison,” a news release explains. “Mr. Pennington is currently Aruze’s President, a Member of the Board of Directors, and had previously served as its CEO.”

Richard stated in the release that, “Aruze wishes Kelcey well in his future endeavors.” He and Mr. Yugo Kinoshita, Aruze’s Global Chief Operating Officer, will begin the search for a successor to Mr. Allison in the next couple weeks.

“The executive team at Aruze is strong and experienced,” Kinoshita says, and that “Aruze does not feel any urgency to appointing a successor to Kelcey.”

“It’s far more important to find the right person than it is to fill the void quickly,” Pennington added.
