New Jersey Green Lights More Online Gambling PlatformsOn the eve of New Jersey’s start to a five-day test trial period for online gambling in the state, the AP confirmed Wednesday that the Garden State has formally approved two more casinos to conduct Internet gambling.

For those not keeping score at home, that brings the grand total of granted licenses to seven.

The most recent casino licenses went to Caesars Interactive, a subsidiary of Caesars Entertainment.

The AP report notes that the gambling enforcement division subsequently granted Internet gambling permits to Caesars Atlantic City and Bally’s Atlantic City.

David Rebuck, director of the state Division of Gaming Enforcement, is now overseeing the active testing of these the seven casinos.

“All the companies who meet our testing standards at the end of tonight that we feel comfortable with for soft play will get an order to commence soft play,” Rebuck said.

As of this writing, no major hurdles are expected as we count down the days until online gambling goes live across New Jersey on November 26th.
