Online Gambling Account Creation Slows in New JerseyDespite a fast and impressive start to online gambling in New Jersey, the pace of new online account creation in the Garden State has begun to slow.

According to the latest industry data, 126,231 online gambling accounts have now been created in New Jersey. But the NJ Division of Gaming Enforcement says account creation has lost steam.

OnlinePokerReport said Monday that “initial growth was intense, followed by a three-week period of steady growth that has now given way to somewhat reduced rates of account creation.”

This may be a temporary phenomenon resulting from the holidays, or it may indicate that the initial wave of customers interested in New Jersey online gambling is starting to ebb.

All told, here are the week -by-week numbers regarding the number of accounts created in New Jersey since online gambling opened for business late last month.
