Jumio, Inc., an online and mobile credentials management company, announced Tuesday that PokerStars has just integrated Jumio’s real-time ID document verification technology into the PokerStars software.
This new feature is now operational in Italy, we’re told, but it will be deployed worldwide in coming months.
“Jumio offers a new and unique approach in the identity verification market and we are pleased and excited to be working closely with them to help develop and deliver an innovative and exciting customer verification solution,” says PokerStars senior verifications manager Richard Bregazzi.
PokerStars presently has more than 60 million registered members. Jumio’s Netverify will enable PokerStars customers to quickly verify their identity by uploading their ID documents or presenting them to their computer webcam for document authentication.
“This innovative new feature will allow us to provide better and faster service to our customers, while maintaining very high security standards,” Bregazzi adds.
