Date of Second Nevada Poker Site to be AnnouncedIt appears that the state of Nevada will soon know when they will be getting a second regulated online poker site.

A blog on legaluspokersites by Steve Larson notes that Caesars Interactive Entertainment (CIE) is expected to announce a launch date today for their new site. CIE’s World Series of Poker (WSOP) real-money online poker site gives competition to the first site to go live in Nevada, Ultimate Poker.

At the press conference, media will be able to ask such questions regarding the specifics of the operation. Larson quoted part of a release that CIE put out ahead of the conference.

“More than 15 years in the making for the company, and 43 years after the World Series of Poker was first held, the WSOP brand will make its United States online real money poker debut soon,” the release states.

According to a blog by Don Cypra on Pocketfives.com, a couple of the people who will be available to the media include Mitch Garber, Chief Executive Officer of Caesars Interactive Entertainment, Ty Stewart, WSOP Executive Director, and Bill Rini, Head of Poker of Caesars Interactive Entertainment.

It also should be noted that a person does not actually have to be a Nevada resident to play online poker in Nevada, just within state lines.
