Probability is out with a fascinating new whitepaper that probes the opportunity-rich future of mobile gaming and gambling.
Over the past 18 months, there has been an even bigger shift towards mobile as the channel of choice for casual gamers and gamblers.
“Technology has changed the face of gambling almost beyond recognition,” says Chris Clapperton, Head of Partnerships at Probability. “The first shift saw gambling move increasingly online as established gambling operators and pureplay online specialists tapped into consumers’ appetite for eCommerce.”
To identify the size of the opportunity, late last year, we conducted an online survey of customers who play Probability’s mobile entertainment gambling games, of which 3,766 participated. The study revealed just how popular these games are, with 62% of participants playing and betting on mobile more than once a week, and 27 per cent playing more than three times a week. Moreover, 87 per cent of respondents said they would recommend mobile entertainment gambling to family, friends and colleagues, showing how socially acceptable casual, small-stakes mobile gambling has become.
