Interstate Online Poker Agreement Draws Industry PraiseAs mGamingWatch first reported last week, the states of Nevada and Delaware are taking a joint gamble on a groundbreaking interstate online gambling agreement.

As two of just three states to have legalized online gambling to date, the governors of Nevada and Delaware have reached an agreement allowing residents in those states to play against one another inside of virtual poker rooms.

In recent days, major companies in the world of online gambling and online poker have come forward to praise the interstate pact.

On Tuesday, Jackpot247 celebrated the joint effort, praising the potential for it to influence the industry as a whole.

“This agreement marks a definite shift in the way online gambling operates in the US, with two of the three states currently allowing legalized internet gambling taking part, and it’s likely that the collaborative move by Delaware and Nevada could be the first step towards even bigger changes in the near future,” a rep said in a published statement. “Now, players in both states will be able to play against each other, and this naturally opens up the industry to reach more people and appeal to those yet uninitiated.”
