It’s a consideration few gamers may have made as they prepared to dive into the freshly regulated online gambling markets of New Jersey, Delaware, and Nevada. But according to a new report from Bloomberg, funding online gambling wagers with credit cards isn’t a sure bet.

On the eve of New Jersey’s start to a five-day test trial period for online gambling in the state, the AP confirmed Wednesday that the Garden State has formally approved two more casinos to conduct Internet gambling. For those not keeping score at home, that brings the grand total of granted licenses to seven.

Billionaire and casino magnate Sheldon Adelson is making political news again and appears set to spend more money on a long-running political fight. This time, Adelson is ready to challenge an issue that hits closer to the industry that helped him make his billions. It is being reported by The Washington Post that Adelson is preparing to front his riches for a fight against the legalization of online gambling.

Is online gambling coming to California? Could be. And that’s according to the Commissioner of California’s Gambling Control Commission, Richard Schuetz.

Location, location, location. That’s more than just the mantra of the real estate industry. It’s the entire basis of online and mobile gambling in the states where it is available, regulated, and legal. According to new reports out of the Garden State today, New Jersey “is deadly serious about making sure anyone who gambles online once Internet betting begins this week is physically within the state.”
