Momentum Builds for Interstate iGaming CooperationOn Tuesday, OPR reported that the National Council of Legislators From Gaming States (NCLGS) is now actively seeking public input on  framework for regulating online gambling.

According to the organization seeking support for its initiative, submitting comments can be completed online.

The report notes that NCLGS is working with UNLV’s International Gaming Institute to craft a “policy blueprint” for states that are believed to be interested in offering regulated Internet gambling.

The effort also aims to facilitate interstate cooperation among states in which online gambling is legal.

“Three states are now live with Internet gaming and developing effective public policy across states—for those states wishing to participate in online gaming— is crucial,” says NCLGS President State Rep. Jim Waldman.

“NCLGS does not support or oppose gaming, but supports sound regulation and believes that decisions related to gaming should be made by the citizens of the individual states and their elected officials,” Waldman adds.
