Online Gambling Coming to 11 More States This YearOnline gambling soon won’t be limited to Nevada, Delaware, and New Jersey. In fact, if today’s report from GovTech is accurate, nearly a dozen more states may authorize online gambling before 2014 draws to a close.

Pennsylvania, West Virginia and nine other states might approve online gambling this year or next, says the founder of a major Internet gambling consulting company.

“There’s intense competition in that part of the country,” Fred Gushin, managing director and founder of Spectrum Gaming Group, was quoted in the report. “It’s something that will be considered not only by Pennsylvania but by all the other states that have gaming because they ultimately can’t afford not to.”
So what’s behind the anticipated sudden rush?

According to Gushin, if online gambling is successful in Nevada, New Jersey and Delaware, more states will “jump into this bandwagon as fast as they can.”

“Every state needs money,” he explains. And the revenue from online gambling could be significant.
