Online Poker Gets 'Real' in NevadaReal Gaming – formerly known as South Point Poker before being rebranded in 2013 – is now the third regulated online poker room in the state of Nevada to open for business.

According to published reports Thursday, Real Gaming is now in a soft launch phase, with a forthcoming marketing campaign in the works but not yet ready for showtime.

Functioning in all major browsers, the new site doesn’t require a download and, we’re told, uses a verification system that differs from what Ultimate Poker and WSOP use.

USPoker reports that players must download a mobile app to play for real money.

Players are sent a token through SMS when attempting to sit in a game.  The number provided must be entered into an authorization box. Players must also submit the last four digits of their Social Security Number and the text provided in a CAPTCHA image.  This is only required one time per session.
