Mobile Gaming Apps Growing More Plentiful in Regulated StatesNotwithstanding the fact that online gambling is only legal in three U.S. states, mobile applications targeting gamers on the smartphones and tablets are fast-becoming plentiful, especially in New Jersey.

The Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa is rolling the dice on not one, but two free mobile gaming applications.

The apps in question (the Borgata online poker app and the Borgata casino app) were developed by Borgata’s online gaming partner bwin.party.

“With unique and original iOS apps available now for both BorgataCasino.com and BorgataPoker.com, and the expansion of our mobile platform to include support for Android applications and 3G and 4G networks in the coming weeks, online users will have the ability to try their luck anytime and anywhere in the state,” says John Forelli, Borgata’s vice-president of information technology.

The apps, we’re told, exist primarily as a mean to give legal New Jersey gamers access to Borgata’s land-based gaming platforms while mobile.
